In Germany, we can observe an „government formation experiment“ right now. CDU/CSU (Conservatives), FDP (Liberals), and Bündnis 90/Die Grüne (Greens) might form the so-called Jamaica (black, yellow, green) coalition. It would be the first of its kind on the national level in Germany. But will it really happen? Observers are critical because the parties have very different positions on many important topics (immigration, Europe, environment, … just to mention a few). I think it will happen. Why?
