Simulation Game Lab at Zeppelin University

Not really new but still worth to mention. Together with my colleague Alexander Ruser, I received funding for a Simulation Game Lab at Zeppelin University from the Ministry of Science, Research and Art Baden Wuerttemberg. Aim of the Lab is to change the learning environment that learning at universities becomes more diverse, participative, and active. In July 2018, we started with the project and we look forward to the next 2.5 years.  If you want to know more, check out our webpage (so far only in German but this will be changed soon hopefully).

Good and bad control in public administrations

It took us some time but finally it is online first: My article with Meike Wiemann and Antoinette Weibel on good and bad control in public administrations shows that Management by Objectives have a positive impact on trust in the employer whereas Systematic Performance Appraisals have a negative impact. Thus, output control can be good in public administration but only if it is implemented in a useful way. Here you can find the article.
